ガンとの闘病で長らく表舞台から遠ざかっていた坂本龍一が、NHKのスタジオでピアノソロを収録。2020年コロナ禍のなかで行った配信コンサート以来2年ぶりに坂本龍一の演奏が戻ってきた。先に行われた配信とこの番組、そして現在編集中の長編コンサート映画の収録を行ったのは、自身がその響きをこよなく愛するNHKの509スタジオ。病により演奏を長く続ける体力がないため撮影は1日2,3曲時間をかけて丁寧に行われた。ニューヨークから信頼する撮影チームを招き盤石の体制で収録した演奏から選り抜きの名曲を紹介。また8日間にわたる撮影の舞台裏やインタビューなど貴重な映像満載でお届けする。 曲目 「Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence」、「The Last Emperor」、「Tong Poo」 他。

Behind the Scenes was a 10-part television miniseries aimed towards 8- to 12-year-olds about various aspects of the arts, that was broadcast on PBS in 1992. The series was executive produced by Alice Stewart Trillin and Jane Garmey, produced and directed by Ellen Hovde and Muffie Meyer, and hosted by Penn & Teller. It was developed to illuminate the creative process underlying the working of artists.The series was funded by The National Endowment for the Arts, the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation, The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, The Arthur Vining Davis Foundations, the Nathan Cummings Foundation, the Bingham Trust and McDonald's.

The film guides us behind the scenes of the theatre and film productions. The film and theatre actors live the lives of the made up characters on stage and on camera, while also living to the fullest off-stage. Some episodes from their real lives are funny, some are scary, but all of them are exciting to witness.

Kristin (Anikka Albrite) is an aspiring actress. When she lands a role on a TV show thanks to her uncle, she really hopes that it will be her big break. The top porno film director in Thailand is down on his luck. His staff is desperate for a new job. He owes money everywhere. He decides it's time to make a new film but this one will be a mainstream movie. He has to find investment for the project so he goes around to all the major film producers in Bangkok until he comes up with one who will back it. However, he has one very tough condition and that is that he must produce ten porno films of the same standard as before first. Reluctantly he agrees and his entire team heads off to the jungle to make the first one. Once there they get captured by some bandits the Army is in hot pursuit of. They are caught in the crossfire and when the Army finally rescues them they don't believe that they are making a movie.
